We have a Wii now! I cheated and bought one on eBay. Impatient I know, but I didn’t end up paying much over retail and we’ve got it now instead of maybe having one in a couple weeks. Unfortunately all the Wii remotes are sold out so we only have a single controller and nunchuk at the moment. The first night we did little more than create Miis and check out the other channels, including the web browser. Since then I’ve logged a few hours in Wii Sports and Trauma Center: Second Opinion. Read on for my first impressions.

Macworld ‘07 Keynote Reactions

I must say I’m a bit shocked. Not shocked by Apple TV or even the iPhone really. Shocked that Steve only unveiled Apple TV and the iPhone, the latter not even being available for another 6 months. Don’t get me wrong, I think they are both cool and will talk about them a bit but I am surprised we didn’t see new versions of iLife and iWork. Granted nothing about a year-based naming scheme requires that new versions be released every year, just look at Microsoft, but I really thought Apple would continue with Macworld timeframe updates. Anyway, lets look at what they did announce.

PBS content on iTMS == Good

$7.99 for a single episode of Nova != Good

I am a supporting member of public television at least in part because of Nova and it is one of my TiVo season passes. Nova is a great show but is it 6 bucks per episode better than other TV content? I’m hoping this is some sort of mistake, but if not it is disappointing.
